Mark G. Sexton has been promoted to executive vice president and chief lending officer at Bank of Cape Cod. Previously, he was a vice president at The First National Bank of Boston and its successor, Fleet Bank, as well as at Eastern Bank and GE Capital.

GE appointed four new company officers, including Anne Kennelly Kratky, deputy treasurer and chief risk officer for GE Capital Treasury. GE said it has 199 officers globally that lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles.

Prudential Capital Group appointed Bill Engelking to head its Chicago office. As managing director, Engelking, who joined Prudential in 1997, leads an office responsible for originating, marketing and managing private placement and mezzanine investments in the company

Hercules Technology Growth Capital has appointed Jessica Baron to permanently serve as the company’s chief financial officer. Baron has served as the company’s vice president of finance and interim chief financial officer since June 2011.

First Midwest Bank announced that Joseph Fobbe has joined the company as SVP, Business Development Manager in its Asset-Based Lending group. Prior to First Midwest, Fobbe was involved with opening up the Chicago/Midwest market for two out-of-market national asset-based lending groups.

GE Capital, Corporate Finance said it hired Matt Brewer and Tory Spadafora as VPs to specialize in meeting the lending and leasing needs of mid-size Ohio companies.

Crystal Financial announced the promotion of Evren Ozargun and Rebecca Tarby to managing director and Tyler Harrington to assistant vice president in the Boston office. The company also hired Jason Andreotes as assistant vice president and Timothy Lawlor as an associate also in Boston.

SBA lender Celtic Bank hired asset-based lending veteran Ralph Lewerenz as vice president of Business Development in Dallas, TX. His focus will be on the bank’s SBA Working Capital CAPLines Program. Previously, he worked at ITT Capital Finance, Transamerica Financial and GE Capital.

Capital Business Credit announced that Steven Fields has joined the organization to lead customer acquisition efforts for asset-based lending, factoring and trade finance programs in the Midwest. He will serve as senior vice president, business development, and will be based in Cincinnati, OH

Bridge Capital Finance said it is expanding its technology banking and capital finance practices into the Southeastern region of the U.S. and has hired Jerry Younts as senior vice president, BDO for the Southeast region.
