Richard N. Burch, executive vice president and chief operations officer of South Atlantic Bancshares, the parent company of South Atlantic Bank, left the company on July 27. Burch also resigned from the boards of directors of the company and the bank.
Management of the company and the bank are performing duties previously performed by the COO. Neither the company or bank expects to hire a new COO at this time.
