Ares Management won four reader awards from Private Debt Investor and Private Equity International, including Global Fund Manager of the Year, BDC of the Year (Americas), Distressed Debt Investor of the Year (Asia- Pacific) and Lender of the Year (North America). Private Debt Investor awarded Ares the first three honors, while Private Equity International awarded Ares with the Lender of the Year (North America) honor.

Ares has been named Global Fund Manager of the Year three times in the last four years and Ares SSG has been Distressed Investor of the Year (Asia-Pacific) for seven straight years. In addition, Private Debt Investor has named Ares Capital Corporation its BDC of the Year each of the last three years. Private Debt Investor’s sister publication, Private Equity International, has selected Ares Management as its “Lender of the Year in North America” four times in the last five years.

“We believe this broad recognition across our various strategies reflects the global strength and market leadership of Ares’ extensive credit investing platform,” Kipp deVeer, partner and head of the Ares Credit Group, said. “We would like to thank our investors, business partners and market participants for their continued support. With investment professionals around the world, we believe Ares is well positioned to meet the growing investor demand for attractive and predictable income and the increasing need from middle market companies for flexible, private market financing solutions. We see a long runway of opportunity for our expanding array of credit products.”

“On behalf of the Ares SSG team, I would like to thank our business partners for their support over the last seven years,” Edwin Wong, managing partner and CEO of Ares SSG, said. “By becoming part of the broader Ares platform, we are able to further leverage the strength of our experienced investment teams and scale to better meet the growing demand by borrowers and investors in the pan-Asia region.”
