Alvarez & Marsal appointed Hameer Vaid a senior director in the firm’s private equity performance improvement group in New York. “Hameer is highly respected throughout the private equity community for his ability to turn real estate investment opportunities into reality,” Hunt Holsomback, managing director with A&M’s private equity performance improvement practice and leader of its corporate real estate advisory services group, said. “Hameer’s joining expands our offering of guiding real estate focused investors through the transaction lifecycle to maximize value.”

“The commercial real estate industry is undergoing significant disruption that is impacting how deals are structured and how financing is created,” Jeffrey Klein, managing director with A&M’s private equity performance improvement practice, said. “Hameer’s innovative thinking and comprehensive understanding of the sector’s complexities dovetails with our leadership, action, results approach for helping clients initiate transactions with significant long-term benefits.”

Before joining A&M, Vaid spent six years with PwC’s real estate advisory practice in New York. He led engagements covering strategy, operations and digital initiatives for asset and wealth management sector clients. Prior to that, he served 10 years as a senior vice president of asset management with Urban American, a real estate private equity firm in the Greater New York area, and two years as an associate with GE Capital’s wealth income management group.
