Alvarez & Marsal appointed Devang Shah a senior director in the digital and technology services practice within its corporate performance improvement group.

With more than 23 years of leadership experience, Shah focuses on driving growth for clients while helping them maintain cost reductions and productivity and performance improvements. He has experience in enterprise transformation, digital information technology management and performance improvement and knowledge of the financial services and human capital sectors.

“Solving for the transformation challenges of today and tomorrow is rooted in the deep digital and technology expertise that Devang provides our firm and our clients,” Jean Hill, managing director and national solution leader of Alvarez & Marsal’s digital and technology services practice, said. “Devang’s background complements our existing service offerings and aligns with our operational, results-driven heritage. His understanding of transformation across finance, sales, marketing and IT functions, supported by his artificial intelligence (AI) and data science knowledge, provides a 360-degree view for helping clients drive change.”

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Shah was the founder and CEO of Sproutlogix, a human resources technology firm focused on upskilling employees by leveraging artificial intelligence and data science. In this role, he led finance, sales, marketing, IT and overall strategy for the company while spearheading the company’s international expansion and orchestrating revenue accretive acquisitions.

Shah also served as a senior technology leader and growth enabler for various companies, including IBM, American Express, Merrill Lynch (Bank of America), BearingPoint (part of KPMG) and Citigroup.

“The need for bespoke solutions that harness the powerful benefits of data, digital and technology will continue to grow,” Shah said. “A&M’s integrated platform, execution orientation and commitment to senior leader-directed client engagements fuel our ability to drive transformation and deliver results.”
