Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) appointed Atlanta-based Kirk Waldrop as a managing director within its corporate performance improvement practice. Waldrop’s supply chain services and corporate transformation experience underscores A&M’s commitment to helping clients across multiple industries develop and execute operational strategies for maximizing value.

Waldrop advises clients ranging from private equity operating partners and portfolio companies to Federal Government agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Additionally, he has also worked with consumer-packaged goods, health and beauty and food and beverage companies.

Waldrop focuses on supply chain and logistics operations, greenfield and consolidated facility design, omni-channel strategy and improvement, product lifecycle management and make vs buy strategy. He also advises on procure-to-pay and order-to-cash business cycles, cost-to-serve improvement, customer and supplier segmentation strategy, supply chain risk management and supply chain technology sourcing and implementation matters.

Waldrop’s most recent engagements include:

  • Network strategy and regional consolidated facility design project for a multibillion-dollar electrical supply company;

“Kirk’s successful track record of supply chain strategy implementation and transformation aligns with A&M’s operational heritage and results-driven mindset,” Sean Laffere, a managing director in A&M’s Corporate Performance Improvement practice, said. “His ability to view and understand upstream and downstream supply chain issues will help clients to identify the root cause of a problem and to execute the most appropriate solution. Kirk’s supply chain expertise enhances our ability to solve for complex challenges against a backdrop of economic volatility and disruption.”

Prior to joining A&M, Waldrop served as a managing director with Grant Thornton, specializing in supply chain transformation. Previously, he worked with Chainalytics and Booz Allen Hamilton.
