Alvarez & Marsal Adds to Talent, Organization & People Management Group

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) appointed three managing directors and five senior directors in the talent, organization and people management (TOP) group within its corporate performance improvement (CPI) practice. With these new hires, the CPI practice continues to capitalize on TOP’s recent revamping under the leadership of managing director Matt Campbell.

The new managing directors are Denver-based Abby Curnow-Chavez, Los Angeles-based Brad Hullsiek and New York-based Rebecca Stockley. They will be supported by senior directors Ed Caldwell (Atlanta), Mitch Lor-Fair (Chicago), Betsy Fischer (Denver), Sandeep Mota (New York) and David Rak (New York).

Collectively, Curnow-Chavez, Stockley and Hullsiek have more than 50 years of complex transformation and cultural change experience. They each have organizational design, talent management and strategic change experience, ranging from line operational positions to strategic advisory assignments at the C-suite level. They have worked across multiple sectors, including banking, insurance, energy, life sciences and technology.

“A&M is bolstering our talent, organization and people capabilities in response to increasing demand across all sectors. Abby, Brad and Rebecca, along with our new senior directors, strengthen our U.S.-based offering as well as augment capabilities globally for clients in North America, Europe, the Middle East, India and Asia,” Mike Davidson, managing director and leader for U.S. corporate performance improvement at A&M, said. “Aligned with our signature ‘take-action’ approach, these senior practitioners will help clients navigate the ‘human’ aspects of doing transformational work to unlock value enterprise-wide.”

Prior to joining A&M, Curnow-Chavez was a senior partner with Korn Ferry, where she advised clients in the industrial, energy, technology and financial services industries, and led North America’s mining and metals advisory practice. Stockley led the transformation program for Transamerica’s individual solutions business and spent nine years with KPMG Advisory’s people and change and transformation practices. Hullsiek spent more than eight years with Capgemini Invent, most recently as principal director for enterprise transformation, workforce and organization, leading large-scale transformation initiatives, developing strategic plans and implementing workforce solutions.

“Each of these professionals brings unique skill sets that further A&M’s ability to help clients maximize value and drive change,” Campbell said. “Creating organizations with the right capabilities, appropriately leveraging talent, and employing best in class people management are and will continue to be crucial requirements for maximizing enterprise value. Abby, Brad and Rebecca add expertise and insights to our toolbox for driving change that boosts growth and profitability.”
