Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) appointed Kyle Lemmon as a managing director within its private equity performance improvement (PEPI) group focused on the firm’s transformation services offering. Lemmon, who specializes in helping clients navigate large-scale strategic transformations, rejoins A&M with the goal of furthering A&M’s ability to support private equity (PE) clients in their quest for portfolio value creation, profitability and growth.
Lemmon brings more than a decade and a half of successful performance improvement experience across a spectrum of transformation-related issues, including growth strategy, M&A strategy, operational performance improvement, organizational design and cost optimization for diversified industries to A&M. He specializes in developing innovative approaches that drive the transformation required for optimizing successful exit strategies, amidst unprecedented macroeconomic and financial pressures. Working with large cap and mid-market PE clients, Lemmon is known for his significant consumer and industrial goods and services, real estate, food and beverage and transportation sector expertise.
“Kyle’s experience executing large-scale transformations aligns perfectly with A&M’s mission of helping PE clients maximize value across the portfolio company life cycle,” Nick Alvarez, managing director and global practice leader of A&M’s PEPI group, said. “Kyle credits the strength of A&M’s culture, people and results-driven approach for his return to the firm. His laser-focus on growth is what we’re known for and why clients entrust their most complex challenges to us.”
Previously, Lemmon served at BCG, and most recently as a managing director at EY-Parthenon, where he focused on delivering operational performance improvement and strategic initiatives for corporate and PE clients.
“Our continued investment in senior transformation talent reflects our understanding that basic cost-cutting measures and traditional operational improvements are no longer enough to get the job done,” Markus Lahrkamp, a managing director and leader of A&M’s private equity services commercial and operational group, said. “Kyle’s successful track record developing and executing transformative strategies will help our PE clients hone portfolio strategies aligned with their goals. His return to A&M highlights the firm’s enduring reputation for fostering a collaborative, productive, and entrepreneurial environment.”
“Transformation has become the cornerstone of private equity portfolio company value creation, and our clients are calling for creative initiatives,” Carlos Vincentelli, a PEPI managing director with A&M’s transformation services offering, said. “Kyle knows how to help clients maneuver large-scale, transformation complexities with an eye on driving present day change to better insure future profitability.”
