CVC Credit Partners announced that Chris Fowler has joined the firm as a managing director in the Private Debt team, led by Tom Newberry, partner.

Fowler will be based in London and will report to Neale Broadhead, managing director and portfolio manager. In this new role, he will be responsible for investments in CVC Credit’s European mid-market lending strategies.

Fowler joins CVC Credit Partners from GE Capital, where he was a managing director in the mid-market Leveraged Finance Origination team. During his 10 years at GE Capital, Fowler arranged over 50 financings across Europe and the U.S., including senior, mezzanine, unitranche and high-yield facilities. Fowler began his career with Morgan Stanley, working in both the Investment Banking division and the firm’s corporate VC fund, Morgan Stanley Strategic Ventures.
