After committed financing collapsed one week before closing, National Business Capital delivered $8 million in four days to secure a defense manufacturer’s strategic minority equity acquisition.
Frontline Strike Group, a defense technology manufacturer and distributor founded by Special Operations veterans, was pursuing a minority equity investment in a key industry partner to strengthen supply chain control and accelerate growth.
Just one week before closing, the capital backing the transaction disappeared. With no senior lending facility in place and insufficient time to pursue traditional bank financing, the company had seven days to secure $8 million in replacement capital or risk losing the strategic acquisition entirely.
National Business Capital moved quickly to evaluate the opportunity and structure a financing solution aligned with the company’s timeline.
Within four days, NBC completed full underwriting, conducted site inspections across two operating locations, and analyzed financial performance to support a structure that did not require a senior lending facility.
NBC approved a $10 million performance-backed term loan, providing $8 million in immediate funding to meet the acquisition deadline. The remaining capital was structured to remain available for future deployment as the company continues executing its growth strategy.
The financing allowed Frontline Strike Group to complete the equity purchase on schedule, preserving a strategic partnership critical to its long-term growth strategy.
With the transaction secured, the company strengthened supply chain alignment, expanded its operational leverage with a key partner, and maintained its trajectory toward $145 million in projected revenue. The successful execution demonstrated how flexible capital structures can help growth-stage companies complete strategic transactions even when traditional financing timelines fall short.
