Abby Parsonnet
Executive Managing Director and Head of Asset-Based Lending
Webster Bank

Abby Parsonnet has a record of achieving outstanding results by leading her team and external partners toward a common goal.

Internally, Parsonnet’s leadership style focuses on finding, developing and nurturing top performers, helping them to fulfill career goals and assume leadership roles while ensuring they get a well-rounded experience and become trusted advisors who can handle all aspects of a client relationship. Parsonnet creates an environment for success by giving team members the authority and autonomy to create client solutions and to determine how to interact effectively with clients while understanding their needs. And in leading the Webster Sales Council, Parsonnet has set the stage for the council’s regional teams to establish a record of exceeding sales goals every year.

Externally, Parsonnet combines exceptional interpersonal skills and a comprehensive understanding of financing and credit with a practical, real-world business perspective to lead lender groups through sometimes difficult and contentious situations. Applying a strong background in new business generation, client management and all areas of credit, she quickly identifies and assesses key issues to pursue successful strategies. Parsonnet also leads by example, applying strong decision-making and analytic and interpersonal skills in developing a rapport with clients while leveraging her extensive referral network to grow existing relationships and attract new business.

In October 2022, Parsonnet was appointed executive managing director and head of asset-based lending for Webster Bank, continuing Webster’s strong tradition of excellence in delivering customized lending solutions to middle-market clients and sponsors. Under her leadership, Parsonnet has put Webster in a position to develop strategies with the agility and flexibility to account for a changing economic environment marked by higher interest rates that impact the cost of carrying inventory.
