SierraConstellation Partners, an interim management and advisory firm to middle-market companies in transition, hired Webb Stickney as managing director in Houston.

“We are delighted to have Webb join our Southwest Regional Team,” said Drew McManigle, managing director and head of the Southwest Region at SCP. “His breadth and depth of domestic and international business experience with underperforming companies, across many industries, brings another dimension to our growing team in Houston.”

Stickney brings to SCP more than three decades of experience managing businesses in the U.S. and around the world through complex transactions, turnarounds and restructurings. His experience includes 35 years working with the family of Drayton McLane and the McLane Group, a family office and holding company with a diverse range of business interests. During his career, Stickney has served as the CEO of a central Texas defense contractor, the CEO of a Texas blown-film manufacturer during its merger with a Taiwanese company, and a board member of the Houston Astros. Stickney has also chaired the unsecured creditor’s committees in the bankruptcies of Thrifty Oil Company, Sunshine Jr. Stores and Al Copeland Enterprises.

Stickney’s hiring comes as SCP continues to grow across the country. In the past 12 months, SCP’s headcount has grown by over 30 percent, and in addition to its offices in Los Angeles and Houston, SCP recently opened an office in Boston under the leadership of Tom Lynch.
