The Chicago Tribune reported that Round Hill Investments, Dum Dum-maker Spangler Candy and Kgbdeals have joined Gordon Brothers in bidding to purchase the bankrupt New England Confectionary Company (Necco), known for its Necco Wafers, Skybar and Clark Bar candies.

According to the Tribune, Round Hill’s $15 million bid has topped Gordon Brothers $13.3 million bid. Gordon Brothers was the original stalking horse bidder.

According to its website, Necco traces its roots to 1847 and is the nation’s oldest continuously operating candy company.
