Stephen E. Weyl will join Butler Snow, practicing in the firm’s public finance, tax incentives and credit markets groups.

Weyl has years of national public finance experience. Through his work in tax-exempt financing transactions, he has represented borrowers, investment bankers, credit facility providers, bond purchasers and corporate trustees. He also has served as bond counsel. His experience allows him to assist clients in all aspects of public finance, including federal and state tax issues, securities matters and derivative transactions. His clients include colleges and universities, independent schools, hospitals, health systems, nursing and senior living facilities, student loan programs, social service agencies and cultural institutions. Weyl will practice in Boston.

Weyl is a member of the American, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island Bar Associations. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, currently serving as vice chair of the General Law and Practice Committee. His other memberships include the American Health Lawyers Association and the National Business Officers Association.
