Victoria Levine
Director
FGI

Victoria Levine has had a dynamic career in specialty finance. As a business development leader within FGI, she utilizes her professional experience to forge partnerships with private equity groups, investment banks and turnaround consultants to provide asset-based lending facilities for global companies.

Levine began her career in FGI’s risk division as a business development representative but then went on to serve in a similar role with Coface, selling the firm’s trade credit insurance product. She then shifted careers into asset-based lending, taking on a director role with Siena Lending Group. When Levine returned to FGI six years ago, she rejoined the company’s finance division as business development director for the Northeast.

During her career, Levine noticed casual networking events, like golfing and fishing, had limited participation by women. To overcome this, Levine took it upon herself to learn golf, which made her feel more confident in the professional sphere. She has also taken the initiative to host networking events to foster a supportive environment for other women.

Additionally, Levine realized there is a gap in young talent within the ABL industry and thus formed a team of emerging professionals at FGI that aims to address said gap. Levine’s commitment to “bridging the generational gap” contributes to the long-term growth of the industry as well as the immediate success of FGI.

Levine says that she has come to understand that your reputation “extends far beyond the skills listed on your resume” and that one must consistently deliver high-quality work to demonstrate reliability while also making an effort to build positive relationships both inside and outside of an organization. In a professional world that values relationships and trust, Levine learned that one’s reputation is an invaluable asset that influences every opportunity and interaction.
