White Oak announced that Christopher Gouskos has joined the firm as managing director of Originations. With more than 20 years of experience in commercial and corporate finance, Gouskos will be responsible for originating and underwriting new investment opportunities for White Oak’s private debt funds with a particular focus on the Southeastern region of the U.S.
Prior to joining White Oak, Gouskos served as senior managing director with Salus Capital Partners. He previously held senior leadership positions with GE Capital, Focus Management Group USA, Textron Financial, Conseco Finance and Bank of America.
Gouskos is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and is an active member of the CFA, TMA and ACG, as well as a former board member of the CFA’s Southeast Chapter.
White Oak also announced that Thomas Tatum joined the firm as senior analyst of Originations. Tatum is responsible for supporting the Originations team with preliminary diligence and analysis. Prior to joining White Oak, Tatum served as an analyst at Medley Management, focusing on portfolio servicing and underwriting. Tatum began his career as an analyst at Balyasny Asset Management, responsible for idea generation and fundamental research.
