Malcolm Price joined the corporate and investment bank of Wells Fargo as head of financial sponsors. He will jointly report to Tim O’Hara, head of banking, and Scott Warrender, head of coverage in banking. Price joined Wells Fargo from Credit Suisse, where he was most recently global head of financial sponsors and global co-head of private equity and leveraged finance.

“Malcolm is a great hire for Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Bank as we grow our Banking franchise,” O’Hara said. “He brings more than three decades of experience working with an array of financial sponsors on their marquee transactions from acquisitions to sales to IPOs. Malcom’s depth of experience with financial sponsors coupled with his track record of building a leading financial sponsors team will help us deliver for our clients and propel our own growth.”

In his 35 years at Credit Suisse, Price notably helped form the firm’s financial sponsors coverage business in 1996 and served as its first head of Americas financial sponsors before assuming global leadership of the group in 2015. He also led the firm’s leveraged finance and infrastructure, utilities and renewables businesses, and was head of the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Region for two years prior to returning to the U.S.
