Validus Capital, an SEC-registered investment advisory firm, added Gino Sasso as a strategic advisor. Sasso was previously a senior tax partner at Ernst & Young in Los Angeles, where he spent more than 38 years serving public companies and family enterprise groups with global operations. He has experience providing tax planning and family office advisory strategies for closely held businesses, stakeholders and multigenerational families.

“Gino’s extensive and deep experience in business and tax planning strategies will further Validus’s reach, breadth and ability to guide and service our clients,” John M. Krambeer, founder and CEO of Validus Capital, said. “His level of sophistication and instructive approach will be invaluable as we help our family office clients and multigenerational families plan for the future in an ever-changing tax and financial landscape. He is creative and wise, and like the Validus team, Gino is dedicated to serving the best interest of clients.”

Sasso will play a role in strengthening Validus Capital’s family office capabilities. The firm intends to use his tax and advisory background to help wealthy clients and families navigate the complexities of their financial picture. Sasso will be based at the firm’s headquarters in Los Angeles.

StevenDouglas, a boutique search and interim resources firm, and Ballard Spahr, a law firm specializing in business transactions, finance, IP, litigation and real estate, supported Validus’ expansion of its wealth management platform with this new hire.
