Ankura Consulting appointed Jonathan Morrison as a managing director with the firm’s Turnaround & Restructuring group in Chicago.

Morrison joins Ankura with more than 20 years of experience in advisory services, investment banking and distressed investing. He is known for his skilled guidance of senior executives and corporate boards through periods of transition including growth, general underperformance and distress.

As an advisor, Morrison has managed a broad range of engagements for middle market and large corporate debtors and their creditors. He has significant experience advising and assisting clients with liquidity management, operational restructurings, stakeholder negotiations and asset dispositions.

Before joining Ankura, he was a principal with AEG Partners. While with AEG, he served as interim chief financial officer for Compressor Engineering Corporation (CECO) and earned the 2016 Large Company Turnaround of the Year Award from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. Prior to AEG Partners, he was an associate director in Macquarie’s Corporate and Asset Finance Group and held turnaround advisory positions with Giuliani Capital Advisors and Ernst and Young Corporate Finance.
