Amanda Montgomery and Marc Gonyea joined Sycamore Tree Capital Partners, a specialist asset manager focusing on private and alternative credit investment, in leadership marketing roles as Sycamore continues to grow its relationships with institutional investors and consultants.

Prior to Allianz, Montgomery was an institutional allocator at San Diego City Employees Retirement System, where she was head of public markets for both fixed income and equities. Her career also includes positions with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and the U.S. Navy.

Gonyea joins from Alcentra as managing director with a start date of July 1. At Alcentra, he was a managing director responsible for institutional clients across channels and regions in the U.S. Gonyea was also a senior marketer at Benefit Street Partners and held similar positions at Och-Ziff Capital, The Blackstone Group, Goldman Sachs and Bankers Trust.

“We are delighted to welcome Amanda and Marc, two highly accomplished marketing professionals, to Sycamore Tree,” Jack Yang, president of Sycamore Tree Capital Partners, said. “As our representatives to the investor community, we believe they personify the experience, culture and client focus that differentiates our firm. They join at an exciting time, as we continue to field interest from a global base of investors exploring allocations to alternative fixed income strategies such as bank loans, CLOs and structured credit.”
