Deanna Reitman joined Faegre Drinker as a partner in the firm’s finance and restructuring practice in Dallas. Reitman joined from DLA Piper, where she served as of counsel for the finance, energy and commodities practice.

Reitman provides clients with legal, regulatory and business advice on commodities. She has more than 25 years of experience in commodity markets and more than 18 years of senior management experience, with a particular focus on energy, metals, agriculture, carbon and other sustainable commodities.

“Deanna brings impressive experience working in commodity markets, transactional finance and in-house, offering significant opportunities for our team to expand its work for clients,” Mike Pompeo, partner and finance and restructuring practice group leader at Faegre Drinker, said. “Her valuable insight into transaction structuring, as well as regulatory and commercial advice in the commodities space, will serve Faegre Drinker’s clients well.”

Reitman draws upon her experience as in-house counsel for commodity marketing and trading firms to advise on the structuring of transactions, developing carbon and sustainable asset platforms/exchanges and providing business-forward regulatory and commercial advice to clients.

“Deanna’s enthusiasm for client service is clear, and we are thrilled for her to join the firm in Texas,” Dawn McCord, partner and Dallas office leader at Faegre Drinker, said. “She will be an integral team member dedicated to collaborating and developing strong client relationships in the local community and beyond.”
