D.A. Davidson’s investment banking business appointed Eric Stetler managing director and head of mergers and acquisitions. In his new role, Stetler will provide senior M&A origination and execution support to D.A. Davidson’s industry teams, and further enhance M&A product and market knowledge throughout the business. He will continue to lead the firm’s machinery & equipment sector coverage and primarily support the consumer and diversified industrials groups.

“Eric has made a significant impact on our business with his leadership as part of the diversified industrials group,” Rory McKinney, president of equity capital markets at D.A. Davidson, said. “Strength of advice is deeply rooted in our heritage and is critical to the firm’s future. Eric is highly committed to driving great outcomes for our clients and has a proven track record with many years of recognized success. We felt it was the right time to create this new role, and he is the right person to further build on our M&A capabilities. We are thrilled to have Eric embrace these additional responsibilities while continuing his industrial sector coverage.”

Based in Chicago, Stetler joined D.A. Davidson in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, he spent more than a dozen years with Baird in its Chicago and Milwaukee offices. During his career, Stetler has completed nearly 100 combined M&A, equity and financing transactions representing more than $20 billion of disclosed enterprise value.

“M&A is a key driver of investment banking business for D.A. Davidson Equity Capital Markets, and this role has strong synergy with our focus on financial sponsors, public companies, and privately held and founder-backed businesses,” McKinney said. “As our investment bank continues to grow, we are serving more clients and they have increasingly complex needs for top-tier guidance. With Eric’s leadership, we are poised to better provide middle-market clients with best-in-class advice and execution through our true full-service platform.”
