Taylor Wright has been named as a managing director and co-head of Barclay’s U.S. Equity Capital Markets (ECM).

Wright will be based in New York, and will report to Jean-Francois Astier, global head of Capital Markets at Barclays.

Wright has more than 30 years of banking and ECM experience, and joins Barclays from Morgan Stanley where he was most recently head of Financial Institutions and Services ECM. During his more than 24 years at Morgan Stanley, Wright originated and led more than $250 billion of equity and equity-linked offerings across multiple industries and geographies. He played key roles in the IPOs of issuers including AXA Equitable Holdings, Bandwidth, BankUnited, Citizens Financial, Endava, First Republic, Hamilton Lane, Korea Telecom, Moelis & Company, Tradeweb, UMC, Voya and Yext, led financing and restructuring transactions for issuers including AIG, Allied Irish Bank, GE, MetLife, State Street Bank and US Bancorp. Hew as an advisor to the U.S. Department of Treasury during the financial crisis.

Wright will co-head the U.S. ECM business with Kristin DeClark, who joined Barclays from Deutsche Bank in March. DeClark will start at Barclays in June 2019 and will be based in Menlo Park, CA.

Wright will start at Barclays in August 2019.
