Avante Capital Partners promoted Amanda Kim to vice president of the firm. 

Kim joined Avante in 2016 as an associate and was promoted to senior associate a year later. She has contributed to the firm’s marketing, execution and portfolio management, and has spearheaded the SBIC industry’s first diversity internship, the Small Business Investing Scholars Program. Prior to joining Avante, Kim spent four years at Goldman Sachs’ investment management divison. 

Avante also hired Yoni Sassoon as vice president of finance and controller and Karel Ignacio as associate.

Sassoon has more than eight years of private equity experience. Prior to joining Avante, he was vice president of finance and controller at OpenGate Capital, where he was responsible for managing fund administration, reporting and management company operations. Prior to joining OpenGate Capital, Sassoon was a fund controller at Standish Management, where he worked with a variety of private equity and venture capital clients. During his time at Standish, Sassoon advised on fund accounting, reporting, compliance and management company operations. 

Ignacio originally joined Avante as an MBA intern in 2019. Ignacio has six years of operational experience in the entertainment and tech industry. Prior to joining Avante, she held corporate roles at Virgin Hyperloop, Warner Brothers Entertainment and Paramount Pictures, where she was responsible for contract management and negotiation of commercial transactions.
