Alvarez & Marsal appointed Nancy Tseng managing director for its corporate mergers and acquisitions services (CMAS) practice within its corporate performance improvement (CPI) business.

Drawing on more than 20 years of M&A and business transformation experience, Tseng advises Fortune 500 and private equity deal teams and their boards across the M&A lifecycle. She has experience in due diligence, merger and divestiture readiness, value creation, purchase agreements, corporate governance and business transformation for profitable growth. Tseng focuses on roll-up strategies, technology enablement, synergy acceleration, operating model and organization design, and process redesign and automation. She has helped companies identify and realize more than $1 billion in savings.

“Nancy’s M&A advisory record bolsters our results-driven mindset. A&M is delivering on its commitment to continuously evolve CMAS offerings that meet the global market’s changing demands,” Colin Harvey, managing director and national solution leader of corporate M&A services at Alvarez & Marsal, said. “Nancy’s professional trajectory demonstrates her pursuit of excellence and a ‘take-action’ approach that dovetail with our mission to drive client value and growth.”

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Tseng built and led the private equity practice serving private equity funds at West Monroe Partners in Los Angeles. In that role, she led practice and business development, securing some of the firm’s largest new, key accounts and cultivating a company culture the LA Business Journal ranked as the No. 1 on its list of best places to work for three consecutive years.

Previously a leader within Deloitte’s M&A practice, Tseng led complex Fortune 500 deals and innovated the firm’s merger integration approach and digital toolset. In this role, she earned the Global Deloitte Award, the firm’s highest honor, for her contributions towards global M&A capability building and the Association of Consulting Firms’ Growth Award for enabling client success. Tseng also received Booz Allen’s Professional Excellence Award, the firm’s highest client impact award.

Tseng believes the future of business and technology relies on the successful integration of disciplines and diverse perspectives. As leader and executive sponsor across DE&I and culture initiatives at prior firms, she helped improve collaboration, employee engagement and client solution development.

“Speed is a valuable currency in M&A. A&M’s operating heritage leading companies quickly through critical corporate events is a differentiator,” Tseng said. “I am excited to collaborate with my colleagues around the world to deepen trusted client relationships, maximize deal value for our clients, and help build enduring companies that lead and innovate.”
