Alvarez & Marsal appointed John Jibilian managing director in its public sector services’ (PSS) education practice. Jibilian advises institutions of higher education on envisioning, realizing and implementing operational capabilities that span student, faculty, staff and alumni services.

Jibilian’s work with higher education clients has resulted in measurable stakeholder experience and administrative efficiency improvements. He has advised dozens of institutions on assessing performance, prioritizing action and leading change across areas including process reengineering, shared services, contacts centers, enterprise applicants and data management. His notable track-record of leveraging innovative methods and delivering digital solutions, including, mobile-first, analytics-driven and cloud-based approaches, has enabled multiple operational transformations.

Prior to joining A&M, Jibilian served as executive vice president and chief digital/information officer at Southern New Hampshire University. In that role he led the transformation of business processes and implemented mobile solutions serving prospects, applicants, students and staff.

Previously, Jibilian led the office of business transformation at Yale University, directing a multi-year transformation of its operations that addressed finance, research administration, human resources and information technology. Additionally, he pioneered Yale’s adoption of cloud technology, agile methods and customer relationship management (CRM) approaches across student experience, alumni relations and administrative shared services.
