Mary Katherine DuBose
Head of Asset-Based Leasing & Lending
Wells Fargo

Mary Katherine is an innovative and strategic leader with deep knowledge of the secured lending and leasing industries. She collaborates with her team as well as leaders across Wells Fargo to offer clients the best financial products and services available. Focused on simplifying policies and eliminating redundancies to better serve clients, DuBose constantly strives to improve the organization while producing results. She is also dedicated to developing diverse and inclusive teams that execute on the goals of the organization and perform at a consistently high level.

DuBose built her career in the securitization business, leading the development of Wells Fargo’s middle-market collateralized loan obligation offerings and later managing its broadly syndicated CLO division as well. She went on to lead the acquisition of WestB’s subscription finance business and eventually moved into investment banking to lead capital markets, including high-grade, leveraged finance and equity capital markets origination. She kept rising the ranks at Wells Fargo when she was promoted to chief credit officer in 2019, a role that required her to lead all consumer and commercial credit decisioning and policy formation. This growth opportunity pushed DuBose out of her comfort zone and gave her a better understanding of the organization.

After three years as CCO, DuBose took on her latest challenge, as Wells Fargo named her head of credit solutions with responsibility for leading asset-based lending and leasing in 2022. In her first 10 months on the job, DuBose oversaw revenue and loan growth in each of the businesses she heads, with the division’s balance sheet growing to its highest point in nearly five years. She says she is excited to build on this success by increasing collaboration with commercial and corporate banking partners to drive more accretive fee income.
