According to SEC filings, Wells Fargo’s chief executive officer, Timothy Sloan and Stephen Sanger, the bank’s chairman, bought 39,000 and 58,342 shares of Wells Fargo stock, worth $2,014.4 million and $3,013.4 million, respectively.

Following the news, shares of Wells Fargo stock were trading 2.07% higher than the purchases and closed at the end of the most resent session at $52.72, up from $51.65 on the day of the transactions.
