TD Bank Group Appoints Hooper and Tran Senior Executives

TD Bank Group appointed Barbara Hooper and Kelvin Tran as senior executives. Effective May 1, Hooper will become group head, Canadian business banking of TD Bank Group. Tran will take the role of group head, chief financial officer of TD Bank Group, effective March 9.

TD Receives Regulatory Approval to Acquire Cowen

TD Bank Group received all regulatory approvals required under its merger agreement to complete its acquisition of Cowen. With this step completed, TD expects the acquisition to close on March 1, subject to the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.

TD Bank Group Makes Changes to Senior Executive Team

Bob Dorrance will retire from the positions of CEO and president of TD Securities on Sept. 1, with Riaz Ahmed succeeding him. In addition, Kelvin Tran will become CFO of TD Bank Group and join the senior executive team along with Barbara Hooper.
