SGS, investment funds managed by SVPGlobal and the largest existing holder of SGS’ outstanding funded indebtedness completed a recapitalization transaction to strengthen SGS’s balance sheet and position the business for growth. HPS Investment Partners led the financing for the investment.
Washington Prime Group emerged from the Chapter 11 process, signifying the completion of the company’s financial restructuring and the implementation of its plan of reorganization. The company emerged from bankruptcy with its debt reduced by nearly $1 billion.
IPC Systems entered into a transaction support agreement with its key stakeholders that will reduce the company’s debt by more than $400 million, extend its debt maturity schedule by five years and provide new capital of $125 million to deliver resources for investment in long-term growth strategies.
Washington Prime Group filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. Washington Prime Group also secured $100 million in new money debtor-in-possession financing.
Ranji Nagaswami and Sarah Pillmore joined Strategic Value Partners as managing directors of the firm. Nagaswami joins as chief strategy and chief commercial officer while Pillmore joins as head of human resources & talent. Both will serve on SVPGlobal’s 16-person management council.
