The U.S. Census Bureau reported transportation equipment drove the increase in new orders, shipments and unfilled orders for manufactured durable goods in November.
The Census Bureau said new orders for manufactured durable goods in November decreased $1.7 billion or 0.7% to $242.3 billion. Unfilled orders, however, increased to its highest level since the NAICS was first published in 1992.
According to the Commerce Department, March factory orders and shipments advanced for the second month in a row. Core capital goods orders signaled business investment plans increased largest amount in more than a year.
