WSJ: Citigroup, Others Provide Alibaba $8B Financing

The Wall Street Journal reported Alibaba Group Holding obtained $8 billion in financing from nine banks. Citigroup and others were said to have provided the financing.

Banc of America, Others Arrange $2B Term Loan for JSC VTB Bank

Banc of America Securities led a 15-bank syndicate for JSC VTB Bank’s $2 billion term loan. The three-year facility marks the largest syndicated facility by a financial institution in Russia since 2011.

KKR Lines Up $3.4B of Financing for Gardner Denver Buyout

Gardner Denver and KKR announced the companies have entered into a merger agreement in a transaction valued at $3.9 billion. Debt financing of $3.4 billion will be provided by a lender group to support the transaction.
