SouthState Bank Forms Small Business Banking Team for Southeast

SouthState Bank recently launched a small business banking team to meet demand in its southeastern footprint. In connection with the launch, the bank promoted Matt Vegter to director of small business banking to grow and serve SouthState’s small business sector.

Truist Names Maguire as CFO

Mike Maguire, Truist’s chief consumer finance and payments officer, has been named chief financial officer effective Sept. 15. Maguire succeeds current Truist CFO Daryl Bible, whose retirement was announced in May and who will remain at Truist during a transition period.

Rogers to Take on CEO Role at Truist as Part of Change to Executive Leadership Team

William H. Rogers Jr., president and chief operating officer of Truist Financial, will succeed Kelly S. King as CEO on Sept. 12 as previously announced in February 2019 as part of the merger of equals that formed Truist.
