CIT appointed Geoff Black to the position of managing director and group head for the lender finance business within its business capital division. Black joined CIT in 2006 and, in his most recent role, he was responsible for originating and growing relationships.
CIT, a division of First Citizens Bank, launched a new lending and leasing vertical focused on financing fleet golf cars, turf (grounds care) equipment, utility vehicles and similar equipment. Shawn Foy will lead the new vertical.
TCF’s middle market team was named a winner of the 2020 Greenwich Excellence Award for U.S. Middle Market Banking in two regional categories: cash management overall satisfaction and likelihood to recommend.
Tom Shafer, CEO of TCF, and Mike Jones, COO of TCF, will join Huntington’s executive leadership team following the completion of Huntington’s merger with TCF. Huntington also appointed Donald Dennis to its executive leadership team as chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer and executive vice president of learning and development.
Chemical Financial and TCF Financial plan on making several new executive leadership appointments for the combined company after closing their merger of equals, which is anticipated for the late third or early fourth quarter of 2019.
CIT named Mike Jones president of Business Capital, replacing Steve Solk who will focus on Consumer Banking. Jeff Lytle was named president of Rail, replacing George Cashman who will retire.
