Longview Power announced that it and certain of its affiliates filed for Chapter 11 protection in Delaware. Alvarez & Marsal is serving as the company’s restructuring advisor, and Kirkland & Ellis is the primary restructuring counsel.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Furniture Brands International has tapped restructuring lawyers and advisers to deal with its debt load. The Journal said the company is working with Paul, Hastings, Miller Buckfire and Alvarez & Marsal.
