Wells Fargo Capital Finance expanded its Government Services group with the addition of Greg Wheeless as regional manager and Linh Phu as business development officer.

The Government Services Group, which is part of the overall Commercial Services Group, offers financing to businesses that contract with federal, state and municipal governments. By expanding the Government Services Group, Wells Fargo is dedicated to providing financing to the government contracting industry.

“Greg and Linh bring extensive knowledge and expertise to their roles,” said Kevin Gillespie, executive vice president, Commercial Services Group. “Government contractors face unique challenges, and the addition of Greg and Linh will strengthen our ability to structure and deliver financing solutions to support our government contractor clients.”

Wheeless brings more than 30 years of experience providing financial products and services to government contractors. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he was a senior vice president in Bank of America’s Government Contracting Group and served in similar roles with CIT Aerospace & Defense Finance for many years and at Crestar Bank, now SunTrust Bank, before that.

Based in McLean, VA, Wheeless oversees national lending and factoring responsibilities, including portfolio management.

Phu, also based in McLean, is primarily responsible for sourcing and structuring flexible asset-based and accounts receivable financings offered by the Commercial Services Group to government contractors. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Phu was the commercial lender for the Government Contractor Lending Group at Access National Bank.
