U.S. Bank has named veteran banker Mark Herman as its Salt Lake City market president, effective June 4, 2017.

Herman will lead the market in company-wide efforts and activities and will direct commercial banking in the greater Salt Lake City area. Herman will succeed Damon Miller who has recently announced his retirement.

Herman has more than 30 years of banking experience and since joining U.S. Bank in 2015 has served as a Commercial Banking division manager in Denver. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, he held senior roles in Commercial Banking with BBVA Compass Bank and Fifth Third Bank. Earlier, Herman served in the Salt Lake City market as a commercial banking manager.
