TrueNorth Capital Partners announced the appointment of Bill Jarrett as managing director and head of its new office in Minneapolis. Jarrett will provide financial and strategic advisory services to middle market clients and focus on expanding TrueNorth’s presence in the Midwest.

Jarrett joins with substantial investment banking experience, primarily at the Wall Street firms of Kidder Peabody and Prudential Securities and the Minneapolis-based firms of Lazard Middle Market and Quetico Partners, which Jarrett co-founded in 2009. Since moving from the New York City area to Minneapolis 20 years ago, Jarrett has been a senior banker focused on providing M&A advisory services to the owners of middle-market companies — primarily representing clients seeking liquidity events for their owners in sale transactions to corporate and private equity group buyers and investors. In addition, Jarrett has provided middle-market clients with capital-raising, valuation, and other advisory services.

In addition to expanding TrueNorth’s geographic presence, Jarrett broadens the firm’s industry expertise having worked with a broad range of clients in manufacturing, plastics, specialty chemicals & ingredients, sales & marketing, environmental consulting, and other segments within the industrial and business services sectors.

Jarrett remarked, “I am very excited to join TrueNorth. It’s a growing firm that brings Wall Street-caliber service to the middle market. I look forward to working with my new colleagues, with their diverse and substantial investment banking backgrounds and international capabilities, in creating value-added results for our clients.”
Jeffrey Gaynor, a co-founder of TrueNorth, added, “Bill has extensive M&A and capital-raising transactional experience, across a broad range of industries. His work with leading East Coast and Midwest investment banking firms makes him a perfect fit for TrueNorth. We are excited Bill has chosen to join our team.”
