Salus Capital Partners announced it hired Timothy R. Tobin and Barry A. Kastner as senior managing directors.

Tobin is responsible for originations and guiding corporate development efforts. He also has a specific focus contributing to credit risk management and special opportunities.

Tobin has more than 20 years of experience serving the financing needs of middle-market and large-corporate companies throughout North America. Prior to joining Salus, Tobin was managing director at GE Capital, Corporate Retail Finance where he helped to provide asset-based, cash-flow and structured finance loans for many prominent retailers across the United States. Tobin was previously the national director of Sales and Underwriting for Wells Fargo Retail Finance and has also held various positions with Bank of America Retail Finance.

Kastner, now senior managing director, Business and Corporate Development, and southeast regional manager, is responsible for originations and corporate development across the region. Kastner has more than 35 years of experience in commercial banking and asset-based lending. His experience includes field examination, portfolio management, as well as business and corporate development.

Prior to joining Salus, Kastner was executive vice president for Keltic Financial Services, responsible for corporate growth strategies and strategic planning. He previously served as executive vice president of TD Bank where he was head of TD Bank’s Asset Finance Group. Previously, Kastner held senior management positions at Wachovia Capital Finance and its predecessor, Congress Financial, where he served as chief operating officer.
