Tiger Group’s Remarketing Services Division is auctioning more than 270 high quality, handmade Persian and Oriental rugs with tribal, geometric, traditional, medallion and modern designs, as well as office furniture and equipment formerly owned by the bankrupt Hadidi Rugs of West Hollywood in an online sale that closes later this month.

Bidding is now underway on the former assets of the company at www.SoldTiger.com and will close in rapid succession, live-auction style, on October 29 at 10:30 a.m. (PT). The assets will be available for inspection at 434 N. La Cienega Blvd., West Hollywood, CA, on October 26 and October 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (PT).

“Homeowners, decorators and all consumers will have a chance to bid along with rug merchants and wholesalers to buy fine quality rugs at auction prices,” said Jeff Tanenbaum, president of Tiger Remarketing Services. “The sale includes a number of unique, high quality square, round and rectangular rugs with rare designs in silk and wool. Key among these is an oversized silk and wool Tabriz-made piece crafted in the 1960s that depicts the remains of Cyrus the Great’s Perspolis palace. This ancient-design, sentimental piece retails for as much as $60,000.”

All told, the inventory includes over 250 authentic Persian Rugs from Tabriz, Isfahan, Naeen, Bidjar, Kerman, Kashan and other locales made of high-quality wool, pure silk, as well as silk and wool blends. Rounding out the selection are high-quality new and antique handmade rugs and tapestries from India, China and Pakistan. The offering features a variety of sizes, from runners and small area rugs to over-sized rugs in all shapes, including round and square pieces.

Hadidi Rugs voluntarily filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Protection in December 2012 in the California Central Bankruptcy Court.
