Business advisory firm Ankura appointed Joseph A. Spinelli senior managing director. Based in New York, Spinelli has more than 26 years of experience in white collar crime investigations, anti-bribery and corruption, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) risk management, monitorships and criminal investigations. He will lend a unique and singular perspective to the government, investigative and compliance advisory offerings at the firm.

Spinelli previously served as the first inspector general of New York and as a special agent in the FBI. He also served as a national partner-in-charge for several practices at a big four firm.

Beyond his government roles, Spinelli conducted investigations and risk assessments around the FCPA in Argentina, Brazil, China, Korea, the Philippines and Vietnam.
