Tom DeFilipps joined Covington & Burling as a partner in the Silicon Valley office and will serve as chair of the West Coast Corporate practice.
DeFilipps’ practice covers a broad range of legal matters, including corporate formation, venture capital financings, public offerings, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and public company governance and disclosure.
“Adding Tom to our Silicon Valley office is a major step forward in our plan for continued growth in California,” said Timothy Hester, Covington’s chair.
DeFilipps represents U.S. and foreign companies across many technology industries, including software, digital media, telecommunications, internet infrastructure, e-commerce, social networking, renewable energy and life sciences.
