Derrich Rodriguez joined PlainsCapital Bank’s San Antonio lending group as senior vice president and senior commercial loan officer.

“We’re proud to welcome Derrich to PlainsCapital’s talented team of lenders in San Antonio,” Michael Molak, San Antonio region chairman for PlainsCapital Bank, said. “His in-depth commercial lending experience will add value to our continued efforts to support Texas’ and San Antonio’s business climate.”

As a longtime resident of San Antonio, Rodriguez has two decades of banking experience in the area. He joined PlainsCapital Bank from Amegy Bank, where he served as senior vice president of the commercial real estate banking group for seven years. Prior to his time there, he served as vice president of national real estate services at Comerica.

“PlainsCapital’s reputation as a leading Texas bank is well-known across the Lone Star State,” Rodriguez said. “Because San Antonio has historically been a very business-friendly environment, PlainsCapital Bank’s high-quality commercial lending products and services are a good fit for the market. I’m thrilled to join their team and begin providing local business leaders with the lending solutions they need to pursue their goals.”

Rodriguez is a member of Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation, chairman of the St. Anthony Catholic School board of trustees and a member of the Leadership San Antonio Class 45.
