Thomas Y. Roberson, Jr. returned to Jones Walker’s New Orleans office as a partner in the Business & Commercial Transactions Practice Group.

Roberson is returning after spending several years abroad working for the Indonesian affiliate of Freeport-McMoRan, where he was responsible for supporting the Jakarta-based legal group managing a range of corporate, project development, project finance, joint venture, tax, regulatory and compliance matters involving copper mining, refining, power and smelter projects.

Roberson has almost 30 years of experience supporting clients in commercial and corporate finance matters and has advised publicly held companies in connection with structuring, negotiating and documenting syndicated credit facilities, public debt offerings and project financings. He also has experience working on domestic and cross-border leveraged acquisitions and has handled structured financing transactions in sale/leasebacks and inventory and accounts receivable financings/securitizations.

“Tom’s years of experience overseas and his extensive work with public and private companies on complex matters make him a great resource to our clients and our firm. We are glad to have Tom return home to Jones Walker,” said Bill Hines, managing partner of the firm.
