Riveron Consulting announced a new hire has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. leadership team. As director of Technical Accounting, Joseph St. Denis is responsible for providing technical accounting and forensic services for SEC clients in all phases of their businesses.

A Wall Street, regulatory and industry veteran, Joe brings 23 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership to the Riveron team. Relevant experience includes spin-offs, acquisitions, SEC reporting, structured finance and derivatives accounting. He has experience with both private and public companies, as well as senior SEC and PCAOB regulatory experience in risk analysis, investigations and forensic accounting.

Prior to joining Riveron, Joe was the founder and managing director of Baseline Insights, where he designed, developed and deployed a commercial web-based market intelligence solution for accounting firms, service providers and academics. In this role he also advised audit committees on accounting policy oversight and audit-related issues.

Additional career experience includes serving as director of research and analysis for Public Company Accounting and Oversight Board. During this time, Joe developed and managed a team of 30 accountants, economists, IT and data professionals providing data and analytical support for the Board’s inspection, enforcement and standards-setting programs. Other industry experience includes American International Group Financial Services, Fitch Ratings and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
