Ed Riley joined Citi Private Bank as head of Equities for the Americas. He will be based in New York and report to Kristen Bitterly Michell, head of Capital Markets for the Americas.

Riley will be responsible for the entirety of the equities business in addition to running the structured solutions business in the Americas.

“We are delighted that Ed has joined our team. He has nearly twenty years of experience in markets and his deep expertise in equities will greatly complement the broader work that we’ve done to enhance our client offering,” Michell said.

Riley was most recently a managing director and head of Capital Markets Product/Platform Structuring and Origination within the Global Wealth and Investment Management division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. While there, he was responsible for investment solutions tailored for the private client segment, including structured notes, OTC derivatives, foreign exchange, equity option overlay, exchange funds, securities lending and social impact investments.

“I am excited to join Citi Private Bank. Citi is renowned for its market access and global reach, combined with the strength of the Investments platform in the Private Bank and the value proposition is unmatched,” Riley said.
