RBS Citizens hired four seasoned professionals to support its Business Capital Group. RBS Citizens Business Capital is one of the largest providers of asset-based financing in the country and offers lending products and services to meet the capital needs of customers including financing for working capital, acquisitions, buyouts and restructurings.

“As we build on our success in the asset lending space, the addition of these well-regarded financial service professionals will help us continue to meet the unique borrowing needs of our customers through great service and local delivery,” said Albert Spada, national sales leader for RBS Citizens Business Capital.

Greg Hanson, based in Boston, comes to RBS Citizens with extensive business development, corporate finance and capital markets experience. He was previously a senior vice president in the Energy Financial Services Group at GE Capital, responsible for debt origination throughout North America.

Sean Sheehan, who was previously with Forthill Investment Partners, brings diverse corporate lending experience including origination, portfolio management and distressed debt investing. Prior roles include managing director at FirstLight Financial and various roles at GE Capital, most recently as managing director in the Restructuring Finance Group. He is based in Stamford, CT.

Based in Chicago, Ryan Deegan brings comprehensive business development, capital markets and leveraged lending experience to RBS Citizens. Previously, Deegan worked as an associate in the Debt Advisory Group at Lincoln International where he led engagements dedicated to raising debt and equity capital for private equity and corporate clients.

Sean McWhinnie joins RBS Citizens Business Capital in Stamford, CT after 16 years with GE Capital. McWhinnie brings a diverse corporate lending experience having worked in portfolio and underwriting for GE Capital. Sean began his career as a credit analyst with Midlantic Bank in New Jersey.
