Pemberton, an alternative credit specialist, appointed Pavol Popp as a portfolio manager for its NAV (Net Asset Value) financing strategy.

Popp brings more than 23 years of experience in banking and finance, having established and managed diverse business lines across secured financing, structured credit and financial derivatives structuring, as well as asset and liability management. Popp joins Pemberton as managing director in the NAV financing team where his responsibilities include selection, structuring and risk management of investments.

Prior to joining Pemberton, Popp was a managing director at J.P. Morgan, where he spent 19 years in various leadership roles, including as global co-head of financing solutions and head of EMEA structuring.

“Pavol’s arrival signals our commitment to further deepen the NAV strategy’s position as a core financing partner to the private equity community,” Thomas Doyle, head of NAV financing at Pemberton, said. “With a team of recognized experts, excellent market access and the confidence of sponsors, we are well positioned to offer investors an attractive risk/return profile. Pavol brings considerable experience and credit expertise which will strengthen our ability to service the needs of a large and continually growing market as we continue to see strong demand for our NAV financing strategy.”

”I’ve known Thomas for many years and followed the growth of Pemberton’s NAV financing platform since its launch – it’s a journey I wanted to be a part of and help drive,” Popp said. “With an outstanding track record in the European private credit space, strong relationships with private equity sponsors and deep in-house credit expertise, Pemberton is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the continued demand for NAV financing.”
