Pemberton, a European private credit manager, appointed Graeme Dell to the role of chief operating officer. Dell joined Pemberton on July 1 and has more than 30 years of financial services experience in private equity, asset management, equities brokering and investment banking, most recently working at private equity firm BC Partners, where he was COO for the last seven years.

Prior to BC Partners, Dell was the group finance director at Ashmore Group from 2007 to 2014 and The Evolution Group from 2001 to 2007. Previously, he held senior roles with the operations, technology and finance divisions at both Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs. Dell started his career as a qualified chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand.

Dell is based in London and took over his role at Pemberton from Thomas Lack, who retired at the end of June to explore other interests outside the asset management industry.

“Welcoming Graeme into the Pemberton leadership team brings us deep industry experience across private equity and fixed income and further strengthens our resources to capture the opportunities in private credit that comes with our rapid growth,” Symon Drake-Brockman, managing partner of Pemberton, said. “We also extend our thanks to Tom for his hard work and dedication in his time with us and we wish him and his family well for the future.”

“Having observed Pemberton’s trajectory these past years, and more recently got to know in detail the professionalism and expertise it deploys in pursuit of its service to investors and borrowers, I am excited by the scope of what we, as a firm, can achieve,” Dell said.
