Osler’s Vancouver office extended its industry and practice coverage in mining and financial services with the addition of partners Alan Hutchison and Martha Martindale.

Hutchison practices corporate and securities law and has served as a strategic advisor to public and privately held mining companies and financiers around the world for more than 15 years. A former global mining practice leader for an international law firm, he advises on M&A, corporate finance, governance, securities and regulatory issues related to continuous disclosure and other compliance obligations.

Martindale has a broad-based commercial practice related to all aspects of lending including single lender and syndicated facilities, traditional covenant-based loans, project finance, real estate financing and construction loans and cross-border transactions.

“The addition of these highly regarded lawyers to our office is timely given the importance of these industries to our firm. Alan brings depth and breadth of business law experience with mining and corporate clients while Martha provides astute commercial lending and debt financing experience in addition to contributing to our P3 and infrastructure platform”, said Mark Longo, Vancouver managing partner.

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt is a business law firm with offices in Toronto, Calgary, Montréal, Ottawa, Vancouver and New York.
